Normally, LED lights are for 3V DC use only, they will be damaged if you use them on 12V or 16V DC directly, in order to use them on higher voltage, you can connect one resistor with each lamp in series and make a group, then wire the groups in parallel, and you can use them on 12V to 16V DC with such wiring.
